The logo of the Botanical Garden depicts a stylized Spreading Pasqueflower Pulsatilla patens. Being a gorgeous spring flower, it is cut ruthlessly, especially near big cities where the species has almost completely disappeared. The Spreading Pasqueflower is listed in the Red Book of the Baltic Sea region and the Latvian Reed Book of commercially endangered species.
