Dear Visitors of the University of Latvia Botanical Garden,
Please be informed that due to the construction of cycling infrastructure along the Riga–Babīte–Piņķi route, parking spaces near the garden entrance at Šteinhauera Street 2 may be temporarily unavailable, and access to the Botanical Garden may be limited.
The new cycling infrastructure will be built along a 7.3 km stretch from the intersection of Slokas Street and Kurzemes Avenue to Nameja Embankment. Construction is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026.
To ensure easier access to the garden, we encourage visitors to use public transportation. While construction is underway, visitors may temporarily park on nearby streets and take a pleasant 7–10 minute walk to reach the garden entrance. You are also welcome to visit the garden by bicycle—even while the cycling path is still under construction. Bicycle racks are available inside the garden grounds for safe storage.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at the garden.
