Along with the first autumn breezes in the air, the collection of the Dahlias begin the main blooming.

The collection of the Botanical Garden of the University is one of the richest – it contains more than 250 different Dahlia species and varieties. In the 1940s, the collection was started by gardener Ernest Palcers. He worked with these plants for more than 40 years.

In our collection, there are sorts and varieties made by the breeders of Latvia and other countries. Work on developing the Dahlia collection is constantly continuing, and the exposition awaits visitors in a slightly different look each year.
